The Trump administration recently released the FY 2018 Budget Blueprint. This blueprint meets the President’s promises to support our military, prioritize veterans’ health care and focus the U.S. Department of Education and its mission to serve students.
According to a statement released by the Department of Education, this budget “places the power back in the hands of parents and families to choose schools that are best for their children by investing an additional $1.4 billion in school choice programs.”
“Taxpayers deserve to know their dollars are being spent efficiently and effectively. This budget is the first step in investing in education programs that work, and maintaining our Department’s focus on supporting states and school districts in providing an equal opportunity for a quality education to all students.”
This means better options for kids with disabilities, ESA students and low-income families. This additional funding could help provide millions of children an opportunity to learn in an environment where they thrive.
